message from Dean (Japanese)

No trespassing on Shonan Fujisawa Campus *Apr.3

As we informed you on April 2, education and research will be carried out on the premise that students will not come to campus, and all classes of the Faculty of Policy Management, the Faculty of Environment and Information Studies, and the Graduate School of Media and Governance will be conducted online until June 10 (first half of AY 2020 Spring Semester). Our utmost priority is to protect the health of everyone who belongs to this campus and to prevent the spread of infection. All students are, in principle, prohibited from coming to the campus from April 4 to June 10. During this period, students are, in principle, prohibited from using campus facilities.
The SFC Office will soon post information on the keio.jp portal regarding procedures, etc. that are usually required to be carried out on campus, such as issuance of ID cards and application for leave of absence. The SFC Office will be closed for the time being.
As we indicated in March, our current policy is to strive to offer courses as much as possible online, including physical education, language courses, and seminars. This applies to June 11 and onwards as well. Depending on the circumstances, all courses may be offered online.
In line with the above, lending out of facilities (classrooms, gymnasium, sports field, clubhouse building, etc.) on campus is also cancelled. Please be aware that extracurricular activities by individuals, clubs, etc. are also prohibited. We hope that outside of campus, you will protect the health of yourself and those around you by avoiding confined, crowded spaces, and close contact with other people, all factors believed to promote outbreaks of infection. In addition, be vigilant about following cough etiquette, and washing and sanitizing hands and fingers. We understand these are trying times and you may be feeling anxious. If you need to talk to someone, the Wellness Center offers counseling remotely. Please feel free to contact them by email (gakuseisoudan@sfc.keio.ac.jp).

Cancellation of Student ID Card Issuance on campus *Apr.3

Due to the shutdown of campus facilities accompanying spread of COVID-19 infections, Student ID Card will be mailed on April 6 (Mon.).
Thank you for your understanding.

Student ID Card issuance on campus was suspended. In light of the situation regarding the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus disease), we have decided to cancel Student ID Card issuance on campus as originally scheduled. This year, Student ID Card will be mailed to the address of each student as indicated in their admission registration documents on April 10 (Fri.).
If you need your Student ID Card before it reaches you by mail, please come to the admissions office at Shonan Fujisawa Campus on or before April 7 (Tue.).
For those who are living abroad, we will mail or issue the Student ID Card after you come to Japan. Please let us know the date when you will arrive in Japan to the following address: gao-request@sfc.keio.ac.jp as soon as the date is confirmed.
Submit your "Student Information Card" at the Shonan Fujisawa Campus Office on the first day you come to Shonan Fujisawa Campus.
Thank you for your understanding.
