Paths after Graduation

SFC Graduates (including GIGA graduates)

About 70% of students in the Faculty of Policy Management and the Faculty of Environment and Information Studies find employment in companies after graduation, while less than 20% go on to higher education, and 10% pursue other career paths. As for corporate placements, the Faculty of Policy Management has four industry categories that account for 80% of all graduates who find employment: Information and communications, Finance and Insurance, Manufacturing, and Consumer services. Whereas the Faculty of Environment and Information Studies tends to have three industry categories: Manufacturing, Information and communications, and Consumer services, which account for 60-70% of all graduates who find employment. Both faculties have also found the industries of Broadcasting and Advertising to be very popular.
In terms of higher education, while many students go on to the Graduate School of Media and Governance, others go on to other universities in Japan or to graduate schools overseas. The percentage of students entering the Graduate School of Media and Governance is high at approximately 10%, with an Early Admission Program also available.
Some graduates also become civil servants or teachers by obtaining teaching licenses. Many of our graduates are active in a wide range of fields, making the most of their individuality and talents, such as studying abroad, challenging difficult certification exams, and starting their own businesses.

Career Support & Information at SFC

The Career Services Section (CDP) assists students in matters related to job search and career development. Students can obtain information regarding employment opportunities, internships, company profiles, and alumni. The section also provides information through guidance seminars pertaining to internships and job searches.
International students who are interested in participating in these seminars are expected to possess a good command of the Japanese language as these seminars are invariably conducted in Japanese.

Alumni Network

Keio University has around 400,000 alumni. Keio's alumni are known for their sense of solidarity with the university, and many go on to join Mita-kai to befriend and interact with other Keio graduates. There are currently around 800 domestic and around 75 overseas Mita-kai. Keio University alumni gather around the world to participate in a variety of activities, including support for younger generations of Keio students.
