Lecture by Dr. Johanna Wanka, Federal Minister of Education and Research of the Federal Republic of Germany

Dr. Johanna Wanka, Federal Minister of Education and Research (BMBF) of the Federal Republic of Germany, will visit Keio University Mita Campus on Wednesday, May 18, 2016, to conduct a lecture for Keio University students, faculty and staff members as per the following:
 
Dr. Wanka is scheduled to talk on recent trends of academic research in Germany. We hope many will be able to take this opportunity to participate in the lecture.
 • Date and Time: Wednesday, May 18, 2016, 3:00 p.m. – 4:10 p.m. (Doors open at 2:30 p.m.)
 • Venue: Keio University Mita Campus, North Hall MAP
 • Co-sponsors: Embassy of Germany in Tokyo, Keio University Graduate School of Media and Governance, Faculty of Policy Management, and Faculty of Environment and Information Studies
 • Participation fee: Free of charge
 • Working language: German (Simultaneous interpretation in Japanese is available)
 
Schedule (Tentative)
 • 3:00 p.m. – Greetings by Professor Atsushi Seike, President, Keio University
 • 3:10 p.m. – Lecture by Dr. Johanna Wanka, Federal Minister of Education and Research (BMBF) of the Federal Republic of Germany: "Internationalisierung von Wissenschaft und Forschung," (“Germany’s Aim to Internationalize Academic Research”)
 • 3:35 p.m. – Q&A, exchange with Keio students
 • 4:10 p.m. – Closing.

Although geared mainly toward Keio University students, the lecture is also open to the general public.
