Student Support Program Addressing Emerging Societal Needs
Student Support Program Addressing Emerging Societal Needs: Student Support Good Practice (GP)
This program was created to develop independent and responsible persons who can contribute effectively to society. Among comprehensive support programs provided by Japanese universities and junior / technical colleges, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) selects extraordinary programs that can cater to the needs of the students. Once the programs are selected, MEXT not only provides financial support but also disseminates the information about the program in society.

Support for Cooperative Regional Policy Research with Keio Graduates: Field Work and the Cooperative Regional Policy Research Support Program
This program attempts to meet the needs of researching students, supporting regional groups and Keio graduates.
The program establishes a database network of human resources and intellectual property of current students, graduates and faculty members. Students use this database network when they conduct fieldwork and other cooperative regional policy research.
Firstly, the program initiates activities in cooperation with the 'Framework for the Promotion of Policy Studies (FPPS)' to provide students opportunities to acquire practical knowledge of regional policy issues and understand the way policy proposals are formulated while working with faculty members and graduates.
Secondly, it expands to include other faculties to develop a viable intra-university policy research and fieldwork support for students. Once the foundation of the program is firmly established, it will be expanded nationally using the vast network of Keio University graduates.
The program will not only afford strong support for students in conducting fieldwork and policy research but also help them to find regional employment. The aim of this program is to develop future leaders of society who can cooperate with others and also function independently.
