U.S. Ambassador to Japan John V. Roos Revisits SFC
07 December 2011John V. Roos, U.S. Ambassador to Japan, visited the Keio University Shonan Fujisawa Campus (SFC) on Wednesday, November 30. Following on from last year, this was the Ambassador's second visit to SFC.
Having previously served as Chief Executive Officer at a leading law firm in Silicon Valley, whose clients were technology, life sciences and emerging growth companies, Ambassador Roos's expertise gives him a special interest in the work at SFC, where many students and graduates engage in these fields.
As he did last year, Ambassador Roos delivered a special address to students, and Guest Professor Kiyoshi Kurokawa of the Faculty of Environment and Information Studies took charge of proceedings, with a Q&A session prompting much lively discussion between the Ambassador and the attendees. Ambassador Roos provided thorough and occasionally humorous responses to questions regarding innovation, globalization and entrepreneurship.
