International Cooperation Agreements
As of February 2012, Keio University has successfully concluded cooperation agreements with 250 or more universities and institutions in more than 40 countries and regions in the world. A number of faculty, administrative staff and students go abroad every year to conduct research and examination and actively pursue academic exchanges in various fields.

International Cooperation Agreements at SFC
As of January 2013, SFC has concluded agreements with overseas universities and institutions listed below.
The purpose of the agreements is to exchange information in the form of publications, instruction materials and other results of teaching and research, support mutual visits of faculty and staff members, exchange graduate and/or undergraduate students, promote joint research activities, and participating in seminars and conferences organized by the respective parties.

Governmental Foreign Aid Programs
The following programs are supported by the Official Development Assistance (ODA) from the Japanese government. Some students from Asian countries are studying at the Graduate School of Media and Governance under these programs.
Indonesia Linkage Program
(Graduate School of Media and Governance, master’s program)
This is an advanced human resource development program initiated by the Indonesian government. The program is designed to educate central and local civil servants from Indonesia. Indonesian students spend their first year in graduate schools of their home country, and then the second year in the master's program at the Graduate School of Media and Governance, Keio University and thus receive master's degrees from both graduate schools.
Japanese Grant Aid for Human Resource Development Scholarship (JDS)

The objective of the JDS Program is to provide citizens of beneficiary countries an opportunity to pursue academic research at Japanese higher educational institutions. The program targets young government officers from the public sector, researchers, business people and others who possess the potential to play an important role in resolving social and economic developmental issues. The JDS Fellows participate in planning and implementing social and economic developmental projects, acquire specialized knowledge and build human network through research and study in Japan.
Tne master's program of the Graduate School of Media and Governance has been involved in this program since academic year 2007.
Vietnam Higher Education Development Support Project on ICT
(Graduate School of Media and Governance, master’s and doctoral programs, Faculty of Environment and Information Studies)
The Vietnam Higher Education Development Support Project on Information and Communications Technology (ICT) trains Vietnamese men and women to acquire practical ICT and Japanese language skills. To this end, a new program was established under this project at Hanoi University of Technology to provide students practical ICT skills and Japanese language training. Among students trained for two and a half years, selected students have been transferred to the Faculty of Environment and Information Studies in the third year of the undergraduate program each year since April 2009.
From the spring semester of academic year 2008, the Graduate School of Media and Governance has accepted career professionals mainly from business or state organizations in Vietnam to its master's and doctoral programs where they are being trained to become competent leaders of the project after graduation.
International Advanced Degrees Course
(Graduate School of Media and Governance)
In the International Advanced Degrees Course (IADC) at the Graduate School of Media and Governance, students can apply and complete course work and all other requirements in the English language. There is no separation of Japanese and non-Japanese students.
Among students supported by the aforementioned governmental foreign aid programs, many students are studying under the IADC.
