International Advanced Degrees Course

Aims of this Course


The International Advanced Degrees Course offers Master's Degrees for students wishing to apply, complete course work and all other requirements for the Course in the English language. English is the medium of instruction and also the language in which all assignments are to be submitted .Overseas students will join Japanese students in the same Master's Program and Research Projects.
Other than the fact that students in the Course take classes given in English, there is no distinction between non-Japanese and Japanese students. Students completing the Course will receive the same Master's degree (Master of Media and Governance) as Japanese and other students in the Graduate School of Media and Governance. In addition, "Elementary Japanese" will be offered for the students in the Course.
The Graduate School of Media and Governance covers wide range of research specialties and currently there are 8 main research specialties called PROGRAMS. Each of the applicants to the Graduate School of Media and Governance must choose one of the 8 PROGRAMS before submitting his or her application. In particular, each applicant to the International Advanced Degrees Course can choose one of the following three PROGRAMS :

Human Security and Communications (HC)
Environmental Design and Governance(EG)
Cyber Informatics (CI)
Systems Biology (BI)
